Project Description     The Government of the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan had planned and proceeded with the process of reforming and restructuring the civil aviation sector in the Kingdom through competitive tendering procedures upon which a private sector, “Investor”, was selected for the implementation and financing of the Rehabilitation, Expansion and operation of Queen Alia International Airport.

                                                                       

                                 Objectives of the Project:

1.     To create opportunity for Queen Alia International Airport to be selected as one of the foremost airport experiences in the region and in the world.

2.     To create a world class airport handling 9 Million Annual Passengers (9MAP) in Phase 1 (which is currently in progress through REOA by the Investor), and 12 Million Annual Passengers (12MAP) in Phase 2 (Future Expansion), in compliance with the Kingdom’s plans to become a regional financial, trade and transport hub with excellent facilities.

3.     To create a world class hub for Amman City & fresh entrance to the Middle East.

4.     To provide and achieve IATA Service Level C.

                                

Services Provided           Consolidated Consultants in joint venture with a British consulting office WSP entered in agreement with the Grantor (Jordan Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan), the Investor (Airport  International Group) and the Lenders IFC in USA & IDB in KSA) to perform consulting services as “Independent Engineer” for the project of Rehabilitation and Expansion of Queen Alia International Airport. The various duties and responsibilities  include review of the Design Packages, report on technical and planning issues, exercise discretion between the counter parties, decide disputes, study variations, inspect and check the works, identify any fault or defect, study and analyze works plans and programs , study and certify time extensions, certify completion of works in compliance with the technical and contractual requirements, certify the total cost of the New Terminal Construction Works and execute with the Grantor and Investor the Substantial and Final Completion Certificates.
