Develop the existing infrastructure through widening the existing bridges to solve the traffic problems caused by growing traffic between Ma'an City and King Hussain Ben Talal University and other increasing traffic between Amman and the Free Zone in Aqaba to develop the local society
Project Components:
· Upgrading of Uthruh Intersection:
- Widening the existing road to 4-lane divided highway for approximately 800m, and widening of the existing bridge to 4-lanes instead of 2-lanes.
- Construction a new ramps and loops for all directions.
- Construction retaining walls.
- Works also include road furniture, drainage, signs, etc….
· Ma’an Bridge Intersection:
- Widening the existing bridge to 4-lanes divided highway.
- Lowering the vertical alignment for desert highway under the bridge for approximately 550m.
- Works also include new pavement layers, road furniture, etc…
· Design of culvert for utilities near King Hussien ben Talal University
