Project Description: The locale of the Egyptian-Jordanian cable connection (area J3) and the sub-sea cable are annually subjected to sedimentary flooding from the eastern wadis that drain to the sea through culverts. This flooding is hazardous to the cables.
The project comprised identification of the technical solutions to this problem which was the construction of a diversion dyke and a flood channel to direct the flood flow to the sea far from the cables. The work included preparation of a complete engineering design and tender documents for the recommended protection measures

Services Provided: Conducting morphological and hydrological studies, and studying sedimentation due to bed and suspended loads, providing different scenarios for dealing with flooding and conducting risk analysis—flood damage analysis and designing the best solution in addition to preparation of tender documents
