From neighborhood road networks to cross-country transportation infrastructures, the Consolidated Consultants (CC) Group Transportation Design team finds appropriate solutions in an area of engineering central to the current success and future growth of businesses, cities, and regions.
Analysis and Preparation
Whether designing brand new networks or updating and expanding existing ones, we run extensive pre-construction analysis on a number of elements surrounding the transportation needs of an area. Whether engineering transportation systems by themselves or as part of a larger master plan, we look at feasibility in terms of the economics of a project, the environmental impact, societal implications and future needs.
Roads & Highways
The arteries of any city, road and highway networks keep us moving. With a number of factors playing into the equation of solving the roadway challenges of a busy area, we look at safety issues and plan for the best flow of traffic. Our team works on small interior roadway networks or major connectors of significant length, both in urban built up areas and through open rural stretches.
Bridges & Tunnels
Due to natural and man-made obstacles, roadways cannot always follow the most direct path to their destination. We engineer around, through or over these challenges with bridges, tunnels and retaining walls. Our team can design single or multiple span bridges using reinforced or prestressed concrete and other materials, safely open up tunnels under developed areas, or add retaining walls that not only hold earth in place but add to the aesthetic appeal of an area.
CC Group has worked with international railway design companies to incorporate this traditional mode of transport into modern networks. Whether running interstate or as part of local public transportation services, we design rail systems that serve areas as people movers or cargo carriers.
